WAAREE Energies ramps up solar PV module manufacturing capacity to 500 MW in Gujarat…

WAAREE Energies Ltd. has completed the installation of an additional 250 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing capacity, bringing the company's total annual manufacturing capacity to 500 MW.

With this installation, WAAREE's manufacturing plant in Surat, Gujarat has become the largest single location solar PV module manufacturing facility in India.

Earlier, WAAREE Energies have managed to secure ~40% of module supply contract in the DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) category, under National Solar Mission Phase II tenders.

In order to meet the huge demand from Europe, UK, Japan & African countries, apart from the Indian markets, Company is already working to expand the production capacity to 1,000 MW which will be completed in the next four months.

Waaree Group launches portal to expand retail business…

Diversified conglomerate Waaree Group launched a portal waareemall.in with an aim to provide an online platform for selling its solar products.

Through this platform, Waaree will be able to offer a large range of its solar products like solar mobile charger, solar bag, solar battery charger, solar camping light and other portable products, the company said in a statement.

"This online venture will help us in extending our business and facilitate our customers with convenient access to our products," chairman and managing director Hitesh Doshi said.

The portal will help the company enrich its customer database as the e-commerce venture follows a B2C model, he said.

Waaree Group is a multi-diverse technology group having forte in various verticals such as solar energy, industrial valves and level gauges and petroleum equipment.

"In future, the platform will also sell our industrial retail products like valves and level gauges," Doshi said.

Waaree energies planning Rs. 450 Crore investment in solar

Solar energy solutions provider Waaree Energies, which will be investing Rs 450 crore to up its module capacity, is eyeing over six-fold increase in its revenues to over Rs 2,000 crore in the next three years as the demand for solar projects leapfrogs.

The proposed Rs 450 crore investment over the next six months will double the company's solar module capacity to 500 mw, a top company official said.

The city-based Waaree group manufactures solar PV modules apart from providing turn-key EPC solutions. Waaree Energies, set up in 2007, had clocked Rs 310 crore revenue in FY13.

"There is a huge growth potential in the solar sector. The national solar mission will provide us huge opportunity as we are one of the larger EPC players," Waaree group chairman and managing director Hitesh Doshi told PTI.

"Considering the large potential, we expect to grow more than six times to almost Rs 2,000 crore in the next three years. We have so far executed over 100 mw of solar EPC contracts and have an order book of around Rs 3,000 crore, which gives us a clear visibility for the coming years," he said.

The company has a 250 mw modules manufacturing facility in Surat and plans to expand it to 500 mw soon. Waaree also exports these modules to the US, Middle East, Australia, Europe and Asia.

"We will be investing around Rs 450 crore over the next six months to increase our capacity to 500 mw. This expansion will be funded through internal accruals," Doshi said.

The company also offers a wide range of products and services such as solar rooftop solutions, solar street and home lighting solutions, solar water pumps and water heating solutions and solar portable kits.

MP Solar Producers are in Bad Shape

Solar Energy producers in Madhya Pradesh are in bad state due to low power purchase by the State Distribution Companies (Discoms) from the Solar Projects installed in the state.

According to sources, the MP Power Management Company is buying only 10.7 crore units annually leaving deficit of 23.9 crore units.

Ujaas Energy, Welspun and Waaree are the major solar producers in the state and feel that unless there is a new regulation will be introduced the solar energy situation in the state will not change.

Solar Producers are also referring to the recent RPO compliance orders issued by the Regulatory Commission of Maharashtra and Joint Regulatory Commission of Goa and UTs.

WAAREE receives 25 MW Solar PV Project from roha in rajasthan...

According to sources, one of India’s leading innovative solar solution companies, Waaree Energies Ltd has successfully acquired a turnkey order of a 25 MW Power Plant  from the Roha group which includes  the Designing of the plant, its technical and Engineering ground work, Installation process and Commissioning of the project.

WAAREE Energies completed 5 MW Solar PV plant for Greentech at Rajasthan…

imageWAAREE Energies Private Ltd (WEPL) – a company providing EPC services for development of Solar PV plants – has recently completed a 5 MW Solar PV plant at Rajasthan. The said plant has been developed for Greentech Power Private Ltd and has been located at Kolayat in Bikaner District of Rajasthan.

 

We found that the plant is using poly-crystalline PV modules which have been manufactured and supplied from WEPL’s Surat Plant.

 

According to the company officials, the plant is operating at full capacity and has injected about 1 Mn units in its first month of operation.

 

As said by Mr. Hitesh Doshi, Chairman of WEPL -

“It is a moment of joy at WAAREE Energies Pvt. Ltd. as  our efforts, spirit of operations and quality services have been recognized at various levels.
